Kopari Coconut Oil Deodorant Is Everything You’ve Been Waiting for in a Natural Deodorant

Like many other women, I was not aware that some of the beauty and skincare products I used on a daily basis had toxic and potentially harmful ingredients in them. Ever since I learned about that, I’ve been actively seeking out new products that are safer. My whole life I’ve used antiperspirants (deodorants that also contain aluminum, which effectively plugs up the sweat glands).

Some people think that the aluminum ingredient in antiperspirants is bad for you and some seem to think that the aluminum ingredient in antiperspirants seep through your skin and could contribute to diseases such as breast cancer. Dermatologists, like Monica Schadlow, M.D., a Castle Connolly Top Doctor whose specialty is Dermatology, and the American Cancer Society, however, refute these claims and argue there are no strong studies to link the two together. So while there was no cause for concern, I decided to switch to natural deodorant. Natural deodorants are typically made without aluminum and they’re designed to keep you smelling fresh for hours with bacteria-sopping ingredients, including familiar favorites like baking soda. But anyone who desires a natural deodorant knows that this is a game of chance – all natural deodorants are not created equally, and plenty of them don’t work. But what if I told you there was a deodorant that is natural based, works well 100% of the time, smells uhhhhh-mazing, and is made with Coconut Oil, the superfood ingredient you slather on your skin and put in your smoothies.

I’ve been testing out Kopari’s new Coconut Deodorant for the past few weeks and I have to say that I’m obsessed! It’s aluminum-free, baking-soda free, goes on smoothly, doesn’t leave any residue, and smells like coconut, but in a tropical, fresh laundry kind of way, not in a sugary daiquiri way. This deodorant also contains sage oil to pick up extra bacteria-inhibiting shifts, which is very important because, as we all know, it’s the bacteria on your skin mixed with your perspiration that causes body odor. Besides just the lack of toxins and aluminum, Kopari Coconut Oil Deodorant doesn’t block pores, so good bacteria keeps working. This means less odor even when you’re not wearing any deodorant.

Coconut oil has amazing benefits for your skin – it is antibacterial, anti-fungal, and incredibly moisturizing. It also contains vitamin E, which helps improve skin health and antioxidants. This helps prevent premature aging and wrinkling, which is why people use it on their face to prevent acne, and moisturize even the driest of skin. Sure, the skin on your arm pit is not as important as the skin on your face. However, whatever you put on the skin anywhere on your body should be regarded with the same care as what you put on your face, since the ingredients sink into your body through your pores. Coconut oil also prevents razor bumps and irritation — just imagine closely shaved, irritation-free armpits! We all know that shaving can make your armpits dry and sensitive, and antiperspirants can make the problem even worse. Kopari’s Coconut Deodorant is basically the opposite because it’s hydrating and nourishing and after a few weeks of using it, you will feel a noticeable difference in the look and feel of your pits.

I should mention that with an aluminum-free deodorant you will sweat because that’s normal and that’s what your sweat glands are meant to do. But I have noticed a decrease in how much I sweat and my sweat doesn’t smell as bad. If you’re switching from an antiperspirant, it’ll take a week or two for your body to adjust to the new one, but believe me, it’s so worth it! I already mentioned this, but it’s worth mentioning again. This coconut deodorant smells like heaven, and it reminds me of being at the beach.

My natural-deodorant test is usually a three-pointer:

  • Does it prevent body odor from happening and from making me smell worse?
  • Does it work with every kind of fabric?
  • Does it not leave weird marks on my clothes or stain them?

I’ve worn Kopari’s Coconut Deodorant several times with several outfits and it passed with flying coconuts through nearly every steamy subway platform, on a hot, sweaty road trip (and plane trip), and it didn’t leave a mark on my clothes or irritate my pits at all.

One more thing worth noting is that Kopari’s Coconut Oil Deodorant is an Allure Best of Beauty award winner (never before have so many editors fallen in love with the same natural deodorant formula in Allure history). It also has a five-star rating on Sephora and Amazon, and the brand says it’s having a hard time keeping the tubes in stock (the deodorant has been sold out more than 5 times on Amazon.)

Conclusion

Even though Kopari Coconut Deodorant is completely clean and natural, it is completely effective and does not sacrifice performance in order to get there. It can withstand even your most sweatiest workout sessions or most nervous nervous sweats. The coconut oil works to kill bacteria growth, and it’s getting rid of the problem of body odor in a totally natural way, instead of just masking the scent like non-natural deodorants. No need to sweat it anymore, and you’ll never have to rethink your deodorant, again.
